Women’s Tall Jumpsuits and Overalls

If ever there was an elusive item of clothing, it would have to be women’s tall jumpsuits and overalls. Am I right? It’s such a hard combo to find something long enough in both the legs and the torso. But not lately! I can’t believe how many jumpsuits and overalls I’ve seen in the last few weeks that are actually TALL! Until last month, I had not worn either jumpsuits or overalls since I was in junior high, but I had to try some of these new ones on for size. I’m so glad I did! 🙂 This post contains affiliate links and I may earn a small commission when you click on the links at no additional cost to you. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

  1. The Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit from The Elevated Closet. I am 6′ tall with a 35″ inseam length and bought the tall, which is recommended for women under 6’1″ with up to 36″ inseams. (The extra tall is recommended for women over 6’1″ with up to 38″ inseams.) As you can probably tell from the picture, the legs are several inches too long for me, and I need to hem them. Not a problem I have very often! 😉 But I often do need to hem pants that I buy from The Elevated Closet. It’s a brand that totally gets tall women, because it’s run by a tall woman! I love that these are fun and playful, and also have wonderful drape to them. The fabric is great! I will mention that the fabric is hand wash only, though, as I know that is a deal breaker for some people. I will likely try my washing machine’s gentle cycle instead, but I haven’t tried it yet, so don’t take my word for it! 😉 This overall jumpsuit is available in sizes XS-3X. 2. TJL Collection Jumpsuits. I’m hesitant to do a direct link to a jumpsuit, because TJL has 6 jumpsuits and they are all on final sale right now, so I don’t want to have a link that will break shortly after posting this. BUT TJL is another small business run by a tall woman and she may just be adding more jumpsuits soon. You never know! 😉 So check back. The jumpsuits I’ve seen are vibrant, striking, and come in extra long 37″ inseam lengths.

  3. Duluth Trading Co. Heirloom Gardening Bib Overalls. These women’s tall overalls were reviewed by someone on the Facebook TALLternative Retail group I’m a part of. They come in 7 colors, including 3 prints. They are available in regular and plus sizes XXS-3XL, and in tall inseam lengths of 33″ and 35″.

  4. Mango Lyocell Jumpsuit with Bow. This was another recommendation from a 6′ tall woman in the TALLternative Facebook group. While there is no inseam listed on the product page, the woman told us that it was plenty long enough for her 6′ frame. Sizes are XXS-XXL.

  5. The Linda Wrap Jumpsuit from TALLternative. This is a jumpsuit from a brand new tall women-run small business! So exciting! I think the sleeve length is so flattering. Vicky, the founder of TALLternative posted that this jumpsuit’s length would work for anyone with up to a 37″ inseam. She says “inside leg” instead of inseam because it’s a UK-based business, but they ship worldwide. Read about their story here. Available in sizes 2-20.

  6. American Tall’s Jersey Tank Jumpsuit. This is currently sold out, but I’m listing it here in case it’s restocked. Sizes are XS-2XL, and inseam lengths are 34″ or 36″. With the drop crotch, the actual inseam length would be even longer.

  7. The Athleta Avenue Jumpsuit. Isn’t this a beautiful shade of blue? This jumpsuit has a v-neck and fitted waist. The tall inseam is 31.5″ because it hits at the ankle. I know some of you are only wanting full length jumpsuits and overalls, but I thought I’d include it for those of you who are looking for something cropped.

  8. The Tall Miabella Silky Jumpsuit from Alloy. Another beautiful shade of blue! This tall jumpsuit comes in rust as well. With an extra long 37″ inseam length and wide silky legs, this piece is luxe and comfortable at the same time. I always love that combo! 😉

Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit: My Review

I am working on a blog post about a number of tall women’s jumpsuits and overalls. But Seattle Photographer Ling Ling Zheng took so many great photos of me in The Elevated Closet’s Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit, that I decided to do one whole post about just that. 🙂 Here’s the disclaimer: I paid for this tall overall jumpsuit with my own money. This is not a sponsored post. This post does contain affiliate links and I may earn a small commission if you decide to make a purchase through my links at no cost to you. So, on with the review!

women's tall overalls
The Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit is plenty long enough for my 35″ inseam!

I’ve not worn overalls since junior high. So when I saw the trend in women’s tall sizes, I just had to give it a try. I am 6′ tall with a 35″ inseam length and a long torso. I’ve bought pants and tops at The Elevated Closet before, and everything has been plenty long enough for me. Sometimes the pants are even too long, which is such a nice problem for a tall woman to have! 🙂 I saw the Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit when it first came out and thought it looked super fun for summer. I have the Tall size, which is recommended for women under 6’1″ with up to a 36″ inseam. (Their Extra Tall size is recommended for women over 6’1″ with up to 38″ inseams.)

The length of the legs is even longer because there is a drop crotch

As you can probably tell from the pictures, the legs are several inches too long for me, so I will likely hem them. Not a problem I have very often! 😉 But I often do need to hem pants that I buy from The Elevated Closet. It’s a brand that totally gets tall women, because it’s run by a tall woman! This measures in at a 33″ inseam, but it’s a drop crotch, so the inside leg is even longer. If you’d like to know how to best measure inseam length, watch this short video.

The Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit has wonderful drape!

😉 This tall overall jumpsuit is available in sizes XS-3X. There are high pockets in the front, that hit around the ribs. On top, you’ll find 3 buttons for lengthening the overalls even more. overalls and jumpsuits for tall women
This overall jumpsuit makes for an easy summer outfit!

The Tall Kami Overall Jumpsuit is a great base for a fun summer outfit. I tried it with a number of t-shirts and tanks, and it looks good with a lot styles and colors. If you’d like to explore more pants, jeans, overalls, and jumpsuits for tall women, check out SearchByInseam.com. Seattle Family Photographer Ling Ling Zheng shot all of these pictures at Bellevue Botanical Garden. Have you tried on some overalls or jumpsuits lately? I’d love to hear about it in the comments! 🙂
